Our annual postal swim will take place on Friday 10th March 2023 at Fairfield Pool, all squads from Academy 2 up to Performance are invited to attend; please note this postal swim replaces all training.
Academy 1 and 1A cannot take part so training will continue as normal.
The British Long Distance Swimming Association (BLDSA) is an individual event whereby swimmers aim to swim as many lengths as you can, in your own pool, in either half an hour* or one hour. Every entrant receives a cloth badge as a souvenir of the event.
*This year we have decided to support the new half hour postal swim for our Academy 2 members.
We will need to enlist the help from parents to count the lengths achieved, you are not permitted to count for your own children. Please indicate on the entry form if you are willing to help, if we do not have enough counters the event cannot take place.
- Academy 2 and Development 1 sign in 5.55pm to swim at 6.10 – 7.10pm
- Development 2 and Junior Competition sign in 7.05pm to swim at 7.20 – 8.20pm
- Senior Competition and Performance sign in 8.15 to swim at 8.30 – 9.30pm
