CHALLENGE TROPHY GALA
26th April 2008
The busy season continued last Saturday with our swimmers attending our first ‘A' Gala of the year. The team performed magnificently to finish the night in 3 rd place overall.
The team achieved 9 first places, thirteen second places and eleven third places with many personal best times achieved. Special mentions to Saffron Salih for winning both her individual races and to our 10 & under boys team of Ryan Wilson, Charlie Knight, Kaya Salih and Matthew Cross who not only competed extremely well in their own age group but also swam very creditably to support Matthew Earle in the under 12 age group.
An extra big THANK YOU to all our swimmers for the great team spirit shown during the evening, especially to Alice Gleeson who must have cheered herself hoarse.
Last but not least, thanks to our team of helpers who ensured the evening ran smoothly for our club.
