Stephen Bathie ‘conquers' the Channel
Young Stephen (aged 13) last month completed his first English Channel swim. Taking part with a relay team (he is too young to attempt solo) the crossing was sub-14 hours, with Stephen taking the fifth and tenth hourly leg of this 22 mile challenge.
Stephen and family would like to thank all friends and swimming colleagues for their financial help and moral support.
He says that he cannot wait for the ‘Open water' season to start again and to continue training until he becomes of age………….Congratulations!
