NATIONAL ARENA SWIMMING LEAGUE SOUTH 2010 DIVISION TWO EAST
ROUND THREE
Congratulations to all the swimmers who took part in the final round of the National Arena League at Beckenham on Saturday 11th December 2010, securing promotion back to Division One East next season with a fine second place finish. Follow the link for Nicks full write up.

 

KENT JUNIOR LEAGUE ROUND TWO

DOVER 10th September 2011

 

Well done to our team of junior swimmers who competed in the Kent Junior League Round Two at Dover finishing in a creditable 4th place.  Due to injuries, last minute changes were required with swimmers being asked to compete ‘out of age’ and in events they would not normally swim.  Follow the link for Nicks full write up.

 

Kent Junior League Round Three

18th November 2011

Firstly apologies for not attending the last round of this competition but from the results I conclude I wasn’t needed. A splendid third finish was our best performance in this competition this year and was all the more pleasing considering we were without some key swimmers.

Eleven individual personal bests were achieved during the evening highlighting your hard work in training is paying off.  Congratulations to Andrey Brightwell with three individual victories in the 12/u 100m Breaststroke, 13/u 100m Breaststroke and 12/u 100m Freestyle and Charlie Knight in the 12/u 100m Butterfly.  Both boys also helped the 12/u Freestyle and Medley relay teams to victory.  With Georgia Lane & Jessica Elphick both unable to swim, our 9/10 years girls team welcomed two new members Francesca Lombardi & Katie Rackstraw who both swam very well achieving PB’s in the relays. Our other two 10 year old team members Kate Parris and Anna Willis stepped up to swim two individual races each and both achieved personal bests in both their events.  

With several top three positions achieved throughout the evening Dartford finally finished comfortably in 3rd place behind Bromley and Dover. Congratulations to Bromley for winning the league securing promotion to Division 1 next season.  

Thanks to Andrea Knight for stepping in as Team Manager and to all the parents who have undertaken poolside duties at each of the galas. Finally, a BIG THANK YOU to all the swimmers who have competed for the club in the KJL this year. Hopefully you have enjoyed participating as much as I have Team Managing this year. I look forward to next year when hopefully we will be an even stronger team where we can compete for promotion.
