Club Coaches
Lynda Pinkess Level 2 Coach and a Fellow
of the Institute of Swimming with 12 years coaching experience. Lynda coaches our Top squad swimmers, where there is an increase in the amount of mileage and number of sessions available while still working on improving technique with advanced skills and drills.  
There is an introduction to race pacing and anaerobic work preparing the swimmers for County, District and National levels.  Lynda is also responsible for the Junior Development Squad for those swimmers who show dedication and potential but are not yet old enough to be in Top Squad. Lynda aims “To get the very best from every swimmer through hard work and with an element of fun.”
Hazel Tew has been a member of DDSC since 1957.  She is a qualified ASA Swimming teacher and advanced teacher.  
Hazel is also an ASA coach and Kent Official.  DDSC has given Hazel the honorary position of Life President in recognition of the dedication and hard work she has given
over the years to the club.
Emma Tew is a qualified Level 2 ASA swimming teacher.  Has been involved
in swimming for 15 years where she has instructed as a Helper and then qualified
as an Assistant.  She then went on to pass her Level 2 teacher's certificate in 2007.

Georgia Elliot  swam for DDSC for 3 years and has recently moved over to the coaching team.  She is a qualified ASA level 2 teacher and works with our dolphins and bronze squads concentrating on basic stroke technique and other skills required to progress into the more advanced levels and squads.

Steven O’Neill swam for Bromley SC for 10 years from 1993 - 2003. He began teaching swimming in 1998 when he passed his Level 1 qualification. He has taught at various local centres in Bexley and Bromley Boroughs and began coaching at Bromley SC. In 2001 he passed his Level 2 and in 2003 he completed his Level 3 and took over the top squad as well as overseeing the club as a whole.  In 2008 he joined Eltham Stingrays and helped them re-organise and re-energise their club.  In 2009 Steven became head coach of Erith & District and worked both jobs concurrently. In June of 2010 he switched his Stingrays role for a similar one at Dartford, and has since taken on the task of gaining the club Swim 21 accreditation.

Stephen Bathie qualified  as an ASA Level 1 Teacher in 2011.  He has been a active member of the Club for the past nine years and trains with Top Squad.
In 2006  Stephen successfully completed swimming the English Channel as a Relay Swimmer.  He has also competed in the British Long Distance Swimming Association's Champion of Champions 1 mile race in Dover and  British Heart Foundation One Mile Swim from Hove to Brighton.
He is now working to obtain his Level 2 qualification.

Neil Tew began swimming as a child and has swum at many levels during his career. He is a qualified Assistant Club Coach, Advanced swimming Teacher and a Fellow of the Institute of Swimming Teachers. He now coaches bronze squad. Neil is also the club historian.

Kerry Booth is a qualified ASA Level 2 Teacher. She works with the Dolphins, Bronze and Silver squads concentrating
on basic stroke technique together with developing other skills required to progress to the more advanced levels
and squads.
Andrea Knight is a licensed Level 2 coach and coaches swimmers in the Dolphins, Bronze and Silver squads, working on technique, water skills and building confidence in preparation
for early competitions.  As the Club’s National Plan Co-ordinator, she is also responsible for organising the assessments of the swimmers
in our Minnows to Silver squads. Andrea is
also currently Team Manager for
the Millennium League.
John Willis is a qualified ASA level 1 Teacher.  He has previously coached all levels in the club, but is currently working with bronze squad focussing on the technique and skills needed to help the swimmers move into Silver squad.
Grace Begley-Hunter qualified for her Level 1 Teaching Aquatics in July, 2010.  She has been swimming since the age of five and has swum for DDSC for three years.  She has been actively involved in helping coaching for two years and now helps Andrea with Dolphins
and Bronze.  
Grace has also been Kent Junior Champion in 50 fly and 50 breast stroke in both 2009 and 2010 and is Kent Open Champion in 50 fly and 50 breast stroke in 2011.
